Dental internship

The internship in dentistry, also known as the 3rd long cycle, is open to students ranked highest in the internship competitive examination. This training takes place over 3 or 4 years, and allows students to choose one of three specialties: oral surgery, dentofacial orthopedics or oral medicine.

Diploma of Specialized Studies in Oral Surgery

Duration: 4 years

Teaching :

  • Theoretical training consisting of 7 TU (6 TU depending on the branch of origin and 1 TU common).
  • Common theoretical training in oral surgery including 8 TU in the form of national or inter-regional seminars.
  • 8 semesters of practical training (6 semesters of internships in oral surgery departments, including 3 in dentistry and 3 in maxillofacial surgery) and 2 semesters of elective training.

Diplôme d'Études Spécialisées d'Orthopédie Dento-faciale (Specialized diploma in dental and facial orthopedics)

Duration: 3 years

Teaching :

  • Theoretical training including 3 TU.
  • Specific training including 6 TU.
  • Practical training including 6 semesters of hospital internships.

Diplôme d'Études Spécialisées de Médecine Bucco-dentaire (Specialized Diploma in Oral Medicine)

Duration: 3 years

Teaching :

  • Theoretical training comprising 6 TU.
  • Theoretical training in oral medicine (6 TU ) in the form of national or inter-regional seminars.
  • 6 semesters of practical hospital training.
