Initial Training
The state-awarded Doctor of Dental Surgery degree forms the foundation of the Faculty of Dentistry’s initial training program. This program lasts 6 years and prepares students to practice as dental surgeons. Students who wish to pursue a specialization may continue their studies for 3 to 4 years in a residency program.
The School of Dentistry also offers continuing education programs for individuals who have earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, including university diplomas and certificates of advanced study.
Recognized as a center of excellence in education, the School of Dentistry is proud of its faculty, which consists of 65 faculty members who are both educators and researchers. Among them are 11 university professors who are hospital practitioners, 15 university lecturers who are hospital practitioners, 22 university clinical directors who are hospital practitioners, 5 university professors emeritus, 1 university professor, 2 associate university professors, 6 associate university lecturers, and 3 associate professors.
