The Faculty of Dentistry is one of the 17 training units of the University of Montpellier. It is also part of a national network of 16 French UFRs offering training in dental surgery.
Founded in 1958, the Faculty of Dentistry has rapidly become an integral part of Montpellier's university and hospital landscape. Located in the Les Hauts de Massane district, it offers a pleasant study environment for its students and enjoys close proximity to Montpellier's university hospitals. Its location and the desire to bring together the services of the Faculty of Odontology and the Odontology Department of the Montpellier University Hospital led to the creation of the Centre de Soins, d'Enseignement et de Recherches Dentaires in 1965.
Today, the Faculty of Odontology is recognized as the leading regional player in dental education. It provides both initial and continuing training for all dental professionals.
The Faculty's training offer is multi-disciplinary and essentially clinical. It responds to proven medical needs and is designed to be immediately applicable in the practice. Training at the university means choosing to bring your private practice closer to the world of university hospitals, and benefiting from top-quality infrastructures and excellent teaching.
