CESP
The Public Service Commitment Contract (CESP) for dental students.
Offer a monthly stipend to students in their fourth year and above, as well as to medical residents; in exchange, recipients commit—for a number of years equal to the duration during which they received the stipend, and for a minimum of two years—to choosing a specialty with low representation or to setting up practice in areas where access to care is at risk.
The CESP is intended for graduate and postgraduate students in medicine or dentistry (Article R 631-24-3 – Education Code / Art. L632-6 of the Education Code).
WHAT IS CESP?
___________________________________________________________________________________________
THE PRINCIPLE
The CESP Principle
- The Public Service Commitment Contract (CESP) was established by the “Hospitals, Patients, Health, and Regions” (HPST) Act of July 21, 2009, and provides that medical and dental students may be granted a monthly stipend starting in their fourth year of medical school (beginning with their second cycle of studies).
- In exchange for a monthly gross stipend of €1,200 paid to them, recipients commit to working for a number of years equal to the duration during which they received the allowance (and for a minimum of two years), starting at the end of their training, in specific locations characterized by insufficient healthcare services or difficulties in accessing care.
