Handball & Dentistry: Lucas Guigon Takes on the Double Challenge!

At just 21 years old, Lucas Guigon embodies excellence and determination. A junior at the University of Montpellier’s School of Dentistry, he has just reached a major milestone in his athletic career by signing his first professional contract with Montpellier Handball (MHB), the club where he has trained since childhood.

A doubly challenging course

Recognized as a High-Level Athlete (SHN) by the University of Montpellier, Lucas receives specialized support provided by the Faculty and its academic staff. This status allows for the academic program to be tailored to his needs, in full alignment with the demands of high-level competition.

This customized program is the result of a close partnership between the Faculty and the MHB, which share a common goal: to promote success in both academics and athletics.

A balanced passion

“I love handball just as much as my studies, and for me, one can’t exist without the other,” Lucas says.

Driven by this dual passion, he pursued his academic studies with determination and rose brilliantly to the challenge by entering his senior year at the start of the school year.
