Medical Hypnosis: What Evidence Supports Its Effectiveness?
Hypnosis receives significant media attention both in entertainment and as a method of
personal development. Its medical use cannot be satisfied by mere enthusiasm
or a passing fad. Its use for pain relief
and sedation must be supported by scientific data and
rigorous evidence validated by a consensus methodology.
This conference aims to detail the results of clinical studies
that validate the indications for medical hypnosis
in dentistry and oral surgery. The goal
will be to establish the risk-benefit ratio of this method.
